done!!! It was good 😊! It was warm but I still enjoyed it. We first biked 30 km from trinity to White rock with a later start because it was our first time loading everything. We biked with our teams today (7 riders in mine). It was good we started off quite slow but got faster over an time. When we got to white rock, about an hour late (bikers time and all😜) we met up with family and friends who had come out to cheer us on. Thanks to my Aunty Margaret, cousins Lisa and Laura and their kids, it was great to see you there and such an encouragement. We took a photo in front of the White Rock and then dipped our tires in the Pacific Ocean. The ride was really far out by the time we got there and I didn't feel like carrying my bike over all the wet sand so I dipped in a puddle left by the tide. It's still the Pacific, just a couple of hours old 😜. We also got some snacks and water refills. Then my team headed out, we were the first team to leave white rock. Now our team was peddling faster, which made me push, but that's good for endurance. We had a fun hill to climb, it was somewhere between a 15-20% gradient!!!! I did it though, without stopping until it kind of levelled out. It was tough, but I had someone on a recumbent bike who is a fast cyclist but is a little slower on hills just because of the type of bike he's on. He and I were the slower ones on that hill. We heard this is one of the steepest hills we will encounter on the tour. We arrived in camp at 3pm with only one group having passed us and another caught up to us and rode with us for a while. Gateway CRC provided us with an excellent meal and dessert to end our day.
