I am quite exhausted today. I woke up before 7am and couldn't fall asleep again so I read. Breakfast was delicious: pancakes and French toast. Church was at 10 and the singing again was quite powerful. We sang All Glory Be to God, which is a song I hadn't heard before this trip but now it's been sung in several of the churches that we've attended. I love it, especially when there are so many of us singing. The sermon was first a recap of our trip this far and second it talked about us being the servers and not the ones being served. I now challenge you this week, make an effort to serve others rather than being served. How much of a difference in this world could we make if we all made a pointed effort to serve others? He also talked about this bike sculpture we had seen, it was like a mini Ferris wheel frame with bikes making up the middle, but they were all broken bikes. This is like if you say that Christ is the wheel and we are all the bikes, we all may be broken in some way but together we make this beautiful sculpture that reflects Christ. I enjoyed the message, and its challenge: SERVE. Sara and a bunch of other ladies went up to Cavendish, but I didn't want to be gone all afternoon so I didn't go. I was pretty tired and not in the mood to make small talk with them. After church, we had a potluck of soup and buns! They were so delicious. This was one of few times that we've had soup on the trip and this time it was even for Sunday lunch! After eating, Terry provided a shuttle to downtown, he had a van full of people. I had a wonderful time touring downtown Charlottetown by myself. I first looked in a couple of gift shops and then walked down the Downtown street Farmers market. There were wood carvings, soaps, wool, food, art. It was really cool. I walked to see the Province House National Historic Site, but it was under huge renovations. I got to go in to a huge cathedral, which was cool. Then I took a long walk down to the water to see the Beaconsfield Historic house. They charge admission but I didn't have a lot of time so I didn't go in. Then I walked back and was window shopping when the light rain that had been happening, turned into a pretty good downpour. Alls good though because I had my raincoat stuffed in my bag. I pulled it out and tried to find the sleeve hole, then I realized that I had taken the vest portion of my coat but not the detachable sleeves, not very helpful. Oh well, I still had my sweater on. I got some Wowie Codie ice cream from Cows Creamery and then stood under an overhang with the other cyclists by the pickup spot and waited for the shuttle. The rest of the afternoon I relaxed and hid in my room; I am ready to be done with always being around people. I love my quiet time, so that has been a huge stretch for me this trip. I skipped peloton, for the first time! I was too tired. Mom called and I had a great chat with her. Im excited to see her and my dad and the rest of the family in just 4 sleeps 😬! Now I'm off to bed. Good Night
