Today was not a nice day. However if we don't have not nice days we will stop appreciating the nice day, so...,
We woke up to a cold day, with no dew (which we've been told means rain is coming). We said goodbye to Jane, the solo cyclist who had been with us since early in the week. We started biking and I was not overly energetic. I was feeling the long day from yesterday. We had many beautiful sights today but it was overcast and cold; my nose was dripping all day. We had a headwind for a lot of the day, one of the strongest from the ride. It was extremely tough. I barely took any pictures. My muscles were sore today too which didn't help. For a while the terrain and wind reminded me of the prairies; it was flat and very windy. But we also saw a lot of farms today. We biked almost straight through the day and were hoping to stop at Tim Hortons close to camp, but the first raindrops were falling so we booked it to camp. It was spitting when we arrived up the hill to our campsite, after going up the hill into Rivière Du Loup 😀. We set up our tent in record time and put the wet tarp over top (forgot to dry it from the other day 😬) it lightly rained all afternoon which is okay on its own, but it's accompanied by a deep cold! We are all bundled up and have finally pulled out our runners and socks (we almost always are in flip flops). I showered and then had hot chocolate to warm up. I'm catching up on three days worth of blogging then going to bed!
